“Scott Meets The Blogger”
It was early in the morning and the Copper Kettle Café in Waterdown was just opening it’s doors. An eccentric man dressed in some suspenders and a hat was waiting to come inside.
The doors unlocked and the man stepped in where he was greeted with a smile and a handshake from the owner, Scott.
“Welcome to the Copper Kettle Cafe”, Scott said.
The man paused after stepping inside and scanned the room. “Yeah, this place will do just fine”, he replied.
Scott looked at the man out of the corner of his eye as he walked back behind the service counter with a smile on his face. “Glad to hear it, bud! Is there anything I can get for you?” He asked.
The man, with his bag tossed over his shoulder, both hands on his hips, leaning back and head tilted to view the menu in front of him says, “Yep! An Americano for me and …”
He looked over at the food menu.
“I’m going to need an order of Elvis Stuffed French Toast, please.”
“Good choice, one of my favourites. So what brings you here first thing this morning?” Scott questioned the man.
“Me?”
Scott nodded in anticipation.
“I’m a blogger and I am in dire need of inspiration.”
“Ah, a blogger, this place should be perfect for you. There is always some kind of story inside of these walls. You are welcome to find yourself a seat anywhere and take in the action.” Scott offered as he handed him his coffee and breakfast.
The Blogger thanked Scott and walked around the café stopping at a few different tables before settling in at one.
He took his first sip of his Americano and a bite of his French Toast, wiped his has and pulled out his computer. He was ready to watch the day unfold in front of him and hoped it would spark some ideas.
A young woman walked into the Waterdown café with her head down in her phone looking as if she didn’t want to be seen.
The man smiled and started to type. “This is going to be a good day”, he chuckled quietly to himself.
